Ride Hard Breathe Easy Classic

8th Annual Ride Hard Breathe Easy Classic

On September 1, we will begin our journey for the 8th Annual Ride Hard Breathe Easy Classic.  The route will be ready by the end of April.

Take a look below to learn about our ride in 2023.  We began at Temple Hospital and finished Day 1 in Margate, NJ.  We then cycled to Delaware (the ferry was cool and gave us a chance to catch our breath), Baltimore, MD, Northeast, MD, and finally to Wissahickon Brewery in Philadelphia.

We had a very successful ride, raising over $70,000!  Thank you to our riders, volunteers, and donors!

As for why we ride each year, see a couple quotes below from lung cancer patients, and the difference our efforts make to them.

So if you are up for a fun challenge, join us for the 5-day ride to help lung cancer patients!

"I put off buying inhalers for a month because I couldn’t afford them until my insurance kicked in. Thank you from the bottom of my heart!"

"My lung cancer diagnosis has been difficult for the family mentally and financially. We are on a fixed income and money is tight. Thanks to your support, we were able to get groceries and gas. We are very grateful!"

During the ride, you get:

100 miles
Phila - Margate

Day 1 - Sept 3

77 miles
Margate - Milford

Day 2 - Sept 4

90 miles
Milford - Baltimore

Day 3 - Sept 5

100 miles
Baltimore - North East, MD

Day 4 - Sept 6

71 miles

Day 5 - Sept 7

The 6th Annual RHBE Classic ride was an amazing and fun experience with a very special group of riders that are all committed in support of this great cause. The support from the Sagging team was just the best and made the rides so much easier.

The RHBE Classic is a great event to get to know all the other participants plus the supporters behind the scenes and making long-lasting friendships. It is a perfect way to enjoy great friendships, and is a great platform to spread the awareness of this disease and the need for more donations.

I’m ready and committed for my 2nd annual RHBE Classic!

Here is your road captain

Our road captain (Andy) will ensure you have a safe and fun ride over the 5 days. And, he will get you ice cream every day!

Hello everyone. Andy here, your Road Captain. When I’m not helping RHBE you will find me in the hills of the Bay Area, California or perhaps completing one of the double centuries available here.

My goal is to make your ride as safe as possible whilst enjoying the great route we have devised with the minimal amount of worry. I’ve got you covered on all things mechanical and don’t feel guilty taking my draft. That’s what I’m here for.

I’m famous for finding an ice cream stop towards the end of the day as a reward for all our hard efforts.

I’m looking forward to riding with you. ~A

Our drivers will take care of you

Our drivers will ensure you are fed each and every day.  They will find the best lunch in the area and have snacks and more for the entire ride.

So why SAG? As SAGGERS, we are privileged to support a team of cyclists whose every pedal and every hill they climb makes a difference for people with lung cancer! They are determined, committed, and passionate about improving the odds for people diagnosed with this disease!

Being part of such a meaningful mission is humbling and a privilege, and we can’t wait to do it again!
